6 horsepower is a measure of work over time. 6 hp would, if geared correctly, power a go kart to 30 mph and a mini bike or something like that to 40 mph. Plenty of power just get a good clutch.

being a shop owner and a drag racer/engine builder i can tell you i have seen 5 horse briggs motors on alcohol in mini rail cars go in the mid 7's on an 1/8th mile track. that in small terms is as fast or faster then alot of V-8's and V-6's stock. it really all depends on what you are willing to spend to make them fast actually.

i own a shop,and it depends on what its put on and how much weight it would have to pull,it could be pretty fast depending,on all of that,good luck i hope this helps.
