Question to everyone: I have a 1992 Dodge Dakota Limited Edition (V8, 318 engine). I'm having problems with the A/C. The heater works but the A/C does not. I was told that it has to be recharged and might have to use freon due to the age of the truck. Any ideas on how to do this and is there any way to get a recharging kit?

it's simple you need r-134a freon available at an autoparts store a hose. to charge it have the a/c on high and max then fill the low side it is smaller and normally has an L on the cap then monitor the temperature coming out of the vent

I have worked with different wholesale dropship suppliers before but the listed here one particular is without question my favorite. They've a ton of unique air max contains unusual ones that you could hardly acquire from all other sites. The product quality and services is the best one can find online with such a cheap price. With this supplier, I am certain you're not going to disappoint you or your customers.

can you put R134 in a 92 dodge dakota, i bought a set of conversion nipple for the ports , but as far as i know its never been charged and still blows cool, not cold , so does this mean it still has R12 in it and i have to have it vaccumed

Your safe with a 92', it will use R-134, and the kits are at any car parts place, if it is empty, it will use a good 16oz, it could be other problems, like bad clutch, fuse, relay, hole in the condensor, I'd check all the bases first.

Passenger edge of the engine compartment. it is going to the two be on the reciever dryer itself or on the line going to it. The severe part would be forward nearer to the condenser interior the severe tension line. severe part is the greater desirable port, low part is the smaller. ultimate of success!

you can recharge the system yourself, but you will have to pull a vacuum on it before you can charge it because you can blow the seals and o-rings if you don't, I would take it to a mechanic who knows how to do this just to be safe.

you can buy a conversion kit from walmart or your local parts house. I would recommend replacing the receiver dryer though

if you don.t know how to work on a/c take it to a shop in some places you have to be certified to get R-12 or R-134a
