what size tap do i use for a 3/8 16 helicoil?

ive got a hole stripped out, the bolt is a 3/8 16, so i bought the 3/8 16 helicoil inserts, it says to use a 25/64 drill bit but im having trouble finding what size tap i need.

Return the inserts and buy the kit.



The inserts are for people who have the kit already. The kit also comes with the tap and installation tool which also make life a little easier.

The helicoil comes pretapped, that 's the tap size u listed, 3/8-16.
